New York, NY – New York Composers Circle has announced its 2022-23 season of concert dates, presented throughout Fall and Winter 2022 and Spring 2023 at Church of the Transfiguration (“Little Church Around the Corner”), 1 East 29th Street in Manhattan and National Opera Center’s Marc A. Scorca Hall, 330 7th Ave., also in Manhattan.


Dates and featured NYCC-member and guest composers are:


Tuesday, November 15, 2022, 7:00 PM — Little Church Around the Corner – Different Strings - Featured composers will be Hubert Howe, Marina Shmotova, Roger Blanc, Richard Brooks, Christopher Kaufman, Igor Vorobyov, and Dana Dimitri Richardson.


Thursday, December 15, 7:00 PM — Little Church Around the Corner - Moments Sweep Past - Music by Peter Kelsh, Sergey Oskolkov, Scott D. Miller, Kevin McCarter, David Mecionis, Emiko Hayashi, Anthony Izzo, and Patrick Andrew Thompson (winner of the 15th Annual John Eaton Memorial Competition).


Tuesday, January 10, 2023, 7:00 PM — Little Church Around the Corner - Namaste Clarinet Quintet, Guido Arbonelli and special guest performers from Italy - Composers will be David See, Gayther Myers, David Mecionis, Hubert Howe, Robert S. Cohen, Todd Mason, Anton Rovner, and Timothy L. Miller.


Monday, February 13, 7:00 PM — National Opera Center’s Marc A. Scorca Hall - The Interval Between - Featuring works by David Picton, Andrei Bandura, Debra Kaye, Nataliya Medvedovskaya, Kevin McCarter, Tamara Cashour, Olga Viktorova, Timothy L. Miller, and David Mecionis.


Monday, March 27, 7:00 PM — National Opera Center’s Marc A. Scorca Hall - Lines of Reference - Compositions by Sergey Oskolkov, Hubert Howe, Madelyn Byrne, Davide Capobianco, Linda Marcel, Mark Belodubrovsky, and Robert S. Cohen.


Thursday, April 13, 7:00 PM — Little Church Around the Corner - Rowing in Eden - Featuring works by Carl Kanter, Eric Heilner, Susan J. Fischer, Dary John Mizelle, and Thomas Parente.


Thursday, April 27, 7:00 PM — Little Church Around the Corner - Claudia Dumschat, organ, special guest performer - Program TBD.

Tuesday, May 23, 7:00 PM — Venue TBD - Transfigured Skyline - Music by Barrett Kalellis, Patricia Leonard, Emiko Hayashi, Paul Aljian, Simona Smirnova, Alexander Vustin, and Timothy L. Miller.

The New York Composers Circle is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, artistic and educational organization dedicated to new music — its creation, its performance, and the development of new audiences.
